That just wasn't right.
Tough way for the 9ers to lose that game. Shame.

That sucked! It seemed the receiver's foot was on the line at the back of the end zone. Oh well, it's a touchdown nevertheless. :(

Apparently they didn't have a replay view from the back of the end line. That sucks. That left foot was dangerously close to touching the end line but without that absolute view from either in back or the side it's hard to tell. So it was called a touchdown on the field and without that absolute visual evidence showing something else the play stands. Ugh.

This 49er team is different. They play hard and seem to carry a chip on their shoulders. I bet they clobber the hapless Rams next week. Singletary certainly has his fingerprints on this team.

How do you rate him all time. Is he top 5, 10?

I'd say he's top five. Has to be.
Montana
Unitas
Elway
Marino (?)
Favre
??? Tough as hell to pick a top 5. Lot of people put some of the real old guys in the top 10...Sammy Baugh and guys like that.

My top 10 QB's in no particular order
Otto Graham
Joe Montana
Johnny Unitas
Dan Marino
Peyton Manning
Brett Favre
Fran Tarkenton
Dan Fouts
Jim Kelley
Steve Young
It's tough comparing the old timers to the more modern QB's.

Pretty good list right there Mc.
What about Y.A. Tittle? And MC. why is Elway not on your list? Kid where is Blanda, the Snake & Jim Plunkett on your list?

I don;t think Y.A was top ten. Not close with all the great ones out there. Elway is on my list. I think #7 is top 5.
Blanda and Sabler can't be mentioned in the top 10. Look at the list.

I screwed up. Elway should be on my list. There are so many great quarterbacks. Where do we put QB's like Tom Brady, Warren Moon, Phil Simms, and bunch of others?

In my mind Brady will be a top ten QB at the end of his career. So will Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, and even possibly Eli Manning.
As far as Moon and Simms go I agree they were great in their time but not top tier all-time.

Same with Plunk. Based on his overall career and his two SB wins I think he's a HOF. Top 10? Nah.
..and if Joe Willie is in the HOF why isn't Ken Stabler? Stabler had the better career.

Joe is totally overrated. His career record as a starting QB is 63-63. He has more career interceptions than TD passes by far. Joe is in the HoF because of Super Bowl III. And Stabler should be in the HoF along with Ray Guy.

I agree but he does not look as good in panty hose!:pound:
