Shocking.

Michael dead at 50.

No doubt the greatest of all time in the music business.

No need to post a link. It's on every channel on television.

Sorry to see he talent go, and I have a lot of his work on my Ipod, but I never thought much of him as a person. Just a little to warped for the Bear.

I am the kind that looks at MJ and thinks about the greatness of his work. His music will live forever. Yeah he got weird later in life but I'm not going to judge him or dwell on that crap. This is really a shock to the entire world. Kinda like when Princess Di passed away. I bet most can remember where they were when they heard that news. Same with John Kennedy and now Michael Jackson. R.I.P. Pretty sad day.

Jackson was a great singer, but he was no Princess Di or John Kennedy. Not even close.:nono:

In terms of popularity he clearly was a John Kennedy/Diana personality. No question about that.

Maybe the most recognizable single person in the world.

I am talking about as a man. What he did for his fellow man.

What he did as a man is change the face of POP music forever. I'd say that's ICONIC.

Seems you're more concerned with his weirdness in the last 15 years of his life. As I said I look at Jackson as a man who took music and the hundreds of million of people to a new level. I don't judge what he may have done. That's not my role or my place. That's a completely different subject one which I wouldn't even engage in. I mean, to what end? The man is dead.

I could care less what about what he did or did not do. I just don't care. And yes his music was great. But it was you who compared him to two people who changed lives for millions of people, and for me they just don't compare. It's like comparing Barry Bonds (who you know I think is top five all time in baseball) to a Nobel Peace Prize winner. Sorry, but they just don't compare on any level. :nono:

Apparently you can't read...

See I didn't compare anything to Kennedy or Diana other than to say many can remember where they were when those two died. Same with Jackson.
